Dear Editor,

How tedious hearing resolution after resolution, year after year, from those wishing to clarify and justify all types of human sexuality. Instead of making resolutions every year, maybe Christians should heed the Word of God. Numerous times Jesus said to his followers, ye have ears but do not hear.

At the 174th Convention as we listened to Ecclesiasticus 15:9-20, (Sirach in the Apocrypha) the scripture described how human sexuality (Eros) can very well be man’s choice. Though God gave man choice, he also set standards of behavior. If we hear and practice God’s kind of love (agape) taught through Jesus, the 175th Convention will need no rationale other than, “Love One Another.”
