The Record Editorial Board has begun a comprehensive review of its publishing and reporting worka review that continues to study: 1) the balance of Web and print mediums without diminishing either; 2) new modes and vehicles of communication; and 3) the 13-year-old printing partnership with Episcopal Life.
Board members are open to hearing your insights and ideas on these matters. One conclusion that we draw from both the local experience and the larger picture of Episcopal communications is that while change is in the air, we are committed to continuing to publish a newspaper that emphasizes News and uses Paper. We are not ending the distribution of news to every household in the diocese, but amid always-increasing expenses and pressure to “do it on the cheap,” that commitment will require strong support from our readers.
We have enjoyed exceptional support over the years from both readers and their churches. If you have not taken the chance to support the funding campaign, we encourage you to pitch into the spring campaign. We also offer our thanks to the congregations that have included The Record in church budgets or discretionary accounts, which are listed below.
